The Best Drill With Powerblock Dumbbells
There is a workout protocol that Powerblock Dumbbells are undoubtedly the best for when compared to other types of dumbbell, even other adjustable dumbbells. . . this workout is often called the Man Maker. Powerblock Dumbbells are perfect for this workout due to their flat sides and heavy duty construction.
There are many varieties of the Man Maker workout, but there is one I prefer over all others. Set a stop watch for twelve minutes and do as many rounds as possible, taking breaks when you have to but for no longer than needed. You'll want to use moderate resistance. In my experience about twenty-five lbs works for many people in good physical condition. Let's get to it. . .
• Start standing up with a dumbbell in each arm pointing straight down. Bend at the knees and hips and place the Powerblocks on the ground. Now push your feet back until you are at the top of the push up with your legs spread about shoulders width.
• Execute the push up. When you get back to the start of the push up, row one arm toward your hip while keeping yourself balanced on the opposite arm. Complete an additional push up. Row the other arm towards your hip with a strong pull. Launch your legs forward and return to the squatting position with dumbbells still on the floor.
• Return to the standing position and hoist the dumbbells to your shoulders. Push strong with the legs, and pull your shoulders, hoisting the Powerblocks to the shoulders. You should receive the dumbbells with your knees slightly bent. Sometimes his portion of the movement is called the power clean.
• Push strong through the heels, straightening the knees and standing up tall. As the hips fully engage, push the dumbbells above your head until the arms are straight. The shoulders may touch the ears when the arms are straight and this is fine. The shoulders and hips should be in line and the feet should be comfortably spaced. One round is complete!
If you want an excellent fat loss drill, then this is it! Be sure crank the repetition rate as fast as possible while still keeping good form. Powerblock Dumbbells are also great for this workout because you can swift changes to the weight if you feel that in the middle of the workout you need lighten the load or make it heavier. Have fun with the workout!
